These terms apply to all participants enrolled in our exchange programs, in accordance with the contractual agreements signed at the time of registration.<\/p><ol><li><strong> General Cancellation Conditions<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>Participants wishing to cancel their registration must notify us in writing through the official channels:<\/p><p>Email: <a href=\"mailto:info@viajerosplis.com\">info@viajerosplis.com<\/a><\/p><p>Physical Address: AV 33 # 83 \u2013 40 Laureles, Medell\u00edn, Colombia<\/p><p>The notification must include the participant&#8217;s full name, the program they are enrolled in, and the reason for cancellation.<\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li><strong> Cancellation Deadlines and Refunds for the J1 Program<\/strong> <strong>Cancellation before initiating the administrative process:<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>If the participant cancels before any procedures with sponsors, employers, or immigration authorities begin, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid up to that phase of the process.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cancellation during sponsorship contracting for the J1 visa:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the process has already begun, the sponsor accepts the applicant, signs a contract, and the applicant cancels the program, no refund of the total amount paid to PLIS SAS will be issued.<\/li><li>If the J1 visa sponsor does not accept the applicant, PLIS SAS will present the applicant to other sponsor(s) until securing a spot in the exchange program for the applicant. If no sponsor accepts the applicant, a refund will be issued according to the contract previously signed between PLIS SAS and the applicant.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Cancellation during selection, interview, and recruitment by the U.S. employer for the J1 visa:<\/strong><ul><li>If the process has already begun, the U.S. employer hires the applicant and\/or signs a job contract with the applicant, and the latter withdraws or cancels the program, no refund of the total amount paid to PLIS SAS will be issued.<\/li><li>If the U.S. employer rejects the applicant, PLIS SAS will offer other job opportunities and arrange interviews with other U.S. employers until securing employment for the applicant in the United States.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><em><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/em>: Under no circumstances will specific conditions similar to the initial job position be guaranteed. Job location, industry, hourly wage, number of working hours, work context, compensation, and\/or additional benefits may vary in accordance with U.S. Department of State (DOS) regulations.<\/p><ul><li>If no U.S. employer hires the applicant, a refund will be issued according to the contract previously signed between PLIS SAS and the applicant.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Cancellation during the J1 visa application process with the U.S. Department of State (DOS):<\/strong><\/li><li>If the applicant has been hired by the sponsor and U.S. employer, the J1 visa application process will proceed with an interview scheduled for the applicant with the U.S. Consul at the Embassy in Colombia or the applicant&#8217;s country of origin.<\/li><li>If the applicant cancels the program after the visa application or interview confirmation, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Cancellation after document approval or visa issuance:<\/strong><ul><li>No refunds will be granted if the J1 visa has been approved.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Cancellation due to visa rejection:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the applicant&#8217;s J1 visa application is denied at the U.S. Consulate, a refund will be issued according to the contract previously signed between PLIS SAS and the applicant.<\/li><\/ul><p><em><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/em>: Refunds will only be issued if the denial is not due to errors, omissions, or fraud by the applicant. Any visa application process involving false information, fraudulent documentation, identity theft, or moral misconduct by the applicant will result in visa denial, potential immigration and\/or criminal penalties by the U.S. Department of State, and inadmissibility for future visa applications.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cancellation by PLIS SAS:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the program is canceled by PLIS SAS due to contract violations, fraud warnings, or bad faith by the applicant, no refund of the total amount paid to PLIS SAS will be issued.<\/li><li>Contract violations by the applicant include, but are not limited to, failure to provide information, documents, or signatures; missing interviews with sponsors, U.S. employers, or the U.S. Consulate; failure to disclose medical, academic, or legal impediments; voluntarily withdrawing after J1 visa approval; failing to report to the sponsor, employer, or worksite in the U.S.; abandoning the job; or breaching contractual obligations.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Cancellation by the sponsor and\/or U.S. employer:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the program is canceled by the sponsor or U.S. employer due to misconduct by the applicant (e.g., absenteeism, breaches, or criminal actions), no refund will be issued.<\/li><\/ul><p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><em><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/em>: Resignation, dismissal, or abandonment of employment in the U.S. will result in the loss of temporary immigration status and may trigger illegal presence penalties under U.S. immigration laws, including potential deportation and future visa ineligibility.<\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li><strong> Exceptions to Refunds<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-90f4293-font-family ), Sans-serif;\">Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:<\/span><\/p><ul><li>If the participant provides false or incomplete information during registration.<\/li><li>If the participant violates program regulations or destination country immigration laws.<\/li><li>If the participant voluntarily withdraws from the program after it has started.<\/li><li>Non-refundable expenses such as airline tickets, insurance, consular fees, and others.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"4\"><li><strong> Non-Refundable Administrative Expenses<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><ul><li>Regardless of the cancellation time, the following costs will be deducted:<\/li><li>Registration fees and administrative costs.<\/li><li>Sponsor and employer management fees.<\/li><li>Consular or third-party service fees.<\/li><li>Costs related to SEVIS, official translations, apostilles, notarizations, exchange rates, and transactions.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"5\"><li><strong> Refund Request Procedure<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>To request a refund, participants must:<\/p><ul><li>Submit a written request by physical mail to the following address:<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>PLIS SAS<\/strong><br \/>AV 33 # 83 \u2013 40 Laureles, Medell\u00edn, Colombia<\/p><ul><li>Send a digital notification to the email address <a href=\"mailto:info@viajerosplis.com\">info@viajerosplis.com<\/a>.<\/li><li>Attach relevant documents, such as proof of payment and reason for cancellation.<\/li><li>The agency will review the request within 30 calendar days and notify the participant of the resolution.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"6\"><li><strong> Refund Processing Time<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 60 calendar days after approval, using the original payment method or via bank transfer.<\/p><ol start=\"7\"><li><strong> Policy Modifications<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>PLIS SAS reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. These terms apply to all participants enrolled in our exchange programs, in accordance with the contractual agreements signed at the time of registration.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol><li><strong>General Cancellation Terms<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>Participants wishing to cancel their enrollment must notify us in writing through the official channels:<\/p><ul><li>Email: <a href=\"mailto:info@viajerosplis.com\">info@viajerosplis.com<\/a><\/li><li>Physical Address: AV 33 # 83 \u2013 40 Laureles, Medell\u00edn, Colombia<\/li><\/ul><p>The notification must include the participant\u2019s full name, the program they are enrolled in, and the reason for cancellation.<\/p><p><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> An F1 academic institution refers to an approved English school, college (higher technical institute), or university authorized by the SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) to admit foreign students to full-time academic courses in English language programs or higher education programs at the Associate (technical), Bachelor (undergraduate), or Master (graduate) levels.<\/p><ul><li>Virtual, remote, hybrid, part-time, semi-intensive, or non-intensive education is not eligible for an F1 visa or non-immigrant status.<\/li><li>SEVP is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and manages the SEVIS system.<\/li><li>Admission or acceptance to any course of study, regardless of the field, or the location of the F1 academic institution is not guaranteed under any circumstances, as all conditions of the SEVP program may change according to the regulations of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS).<\/li><li>PLIS SAS is not responsible for changes to academic programs and\/or curricula made by F1 academic institutions before, during, or after admission, including tuition or registration for the study program.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li><strong>Cancellation Deadlines and Refunds for F1 Program<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>2.1 <strong>Cancellation before the administrative process begins:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the participant cancels before any proceedings with F1 academic institutions or immigration authorities have begun, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid up to that stage of the process.<\/li><\/ul><p>2.2 <strong>Cancellation during the application to the F1 academic institution:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the applicant cancels during the application process to the F1 academic institution, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p>2.3 <strong>Cancellation after admission is granted:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the applicant has received admission or an acceptance letter from the F1 academic institution, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p>2.4 <strong>Cancellation after the F1 visa approval:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the F1 visa is approved, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p>2.5 <strong>Cancellation due to visa rejection:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the applicant\u2019s F1 visa application is denied by the U.S. Consulate or Embassy, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Any payment made for tuition, books, entrance tests, or any other academic fees to the F1 academic institution through PLIS SAS at any time will only be eligible for a refund in accordance with the commitments and contracts signed between the applicant and the F1 academic institution, and the contract signed between the applicant and PLIS SAS. This is subject to the policies, terms, and conditions of PLIS SAS, and does not affect the F1 academic institution or PLIS SAS in their respective jurisdictions.<\/p><p>In the event of a refund, PLIS SAS will process it only if the rejection is not due to errors, omissions, or fraud by the applicant. Any visa application process based on incorrect information, false documentation, public document forgery, identity theft, or moral violations committed by the applicant may lead to denial of the J1 visa and potential immigration and\/or criminal penalties by the U.S. Department of State, including, but not limited to, ineligibility for future non-immigrant and\/or immigrant visas, prosecution, and legal charges.<\/p><p>2.6 <strong>Cancellation by PLIS SAS:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the program is canceled by PLIS SAS due to a violation of the contract, clauses, warning of fraud, or bad faith by the applicant, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Violations of the contract by the applicant include, but are not limited to, failing to provide complete or truthful information, documents, or signatures; missing interviews with F1 academic institutions and\/or the U.S. Embassy or Consulate; not disclosing medical, academic, employment, civil, judicial, or other impediments that prevent travel to the United States; voluntarily withdrawing from the program after the F1 visa has been approved; traveling to the United States, being admitted by immigration authorities, and failing to register at the F1 academic institution; failing to report to the academic institution and\/or failing to enroll in its verification systems; abandoning the program of study in the United States; or violating commitments with the F1 academic institution. In all of the above scenarios, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/p><p>2.7 <strong>Cancellation due to expulsion by the F1 academic institution:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>If the program is canceled by the academic institution due to non-reporting, absences, violations, poor academic performance, offenses, omissions, or violations of its regulations by the applicant, no refund will be issued for any amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Withdrawal or abandonment of the study program and F1 academic institution for any reason in the United States will severely impact the applicant with the loss of temporary immigration status and the beginning of unlawful presence in the country. Such unlawful presence, known as an &#8220;overstay,&#8221; makes the applicant vulnerable to potential deportation by the U.S. government, according to U.S. immigration laws. The specific conditions of the job, including location, industry, hourly wage, work hours, work environment, compensation, and\/or additional benefits, may change according to the regulations of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOS) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS).<br \/>If no U.S. employer accepts the applicant, a refund will be made in accordance with the previously signed contract between PLIS SAS and the applicant.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cancellation during H Visa application at the U.S. Embassy:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the applicant has been hired by a U.S. employer and has obtained a temporary labor certification, the application for the H1B, H2A, or H2B visa will proceed, and an interview will be scheduled with the U.S. Consul at the U.S. Embassy in Colombia or the applicant\u2019s country of origin.<\/li><li>If the application for the visa is submitted and\/or the interview confirmation for the H1B, H2A, or H2B visa is generated, and the applicant cancels the program, no refund will be provided for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><li><strong>Cancellation after document approval or visa issuance:<\/strong><\/li><li>No refund will be issued if the H1B, H2A, or H2B visa has been approved.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cancellation due to visa rejection:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the applicant\u2019s H1B, H2A, or H2B visa application is denied by the U.S. Embassy, a refund will be issued according to the contract previously signed between PLIS SAS and the applicant.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> The agency will issue a refund only if the rejection is not due to errors, omissions, or fraud by the applicant. Any H1B, H2A, or H2B visa application based on incorrect or incomplete information, false documentation, forgery of public documents, identity theft, and\/or violations of moral standards by the applicant will result in visa denial and potential immigration and\/or criminal penalties by the U.S. Department of State, including but not limited to inadmissibility for future visa applications, prosecution, and legal charges.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cancellation by PLIS SAS:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the program is canceled by PLIS SAS due to a violation of the contract, its clauses, or warnings of fraud or bad faith by the applicant, no refund will be issued for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><p><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Contract violations by the applicant include, but are not limited to, failure to provide information, documents, complete required tasks, provide signatures, etc.; missing interviews with U.S. employer(s) and\/or U.S. Embassy; failure to disclose medical, academic, employment, civil, judicial, or other obstacles preventing the applicant\u2019s travel to the United States; voluntarily withdrawing from the program after the H1B, H2A, or H2B visa has been approved; traveling to the United States, being admitted by immigration authorities, and failing to meet with the U.S. employer or their representative; failing to report to the U.S. employer or to register in their verification systems; abandoning the job in the United States; violating labor contracts with the U.S. employer. In all of these scenarios, no refund will be provided for the total amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cancellation by the U.S. employer:<\/strong><\/li><li>If the program is canceled by the U.S. employer due to non-reporting, absenteeism, non-compliance, misconduct, omissions, criminal acts, low performance, or in general, any violation of the employment contract by the applicant, no refund will be issued for any amount paid to PLIS SAS.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/><strong><em>NOTE<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Resignation, dismissal, or abandonment of employment for any reason in the United States will result in the loss of the applicant\u2019s temporary immigration status and initiate the accumulation of unlawful presence in the country. This unlawful stay, known as &#8220;overstay,&#8221; assigns a vulnerable status with potential deportation by the U.S. government, according to U.S. immigration laws. Additionally, it may lead to severe immigration penalties preventing the applicant from applying for new visas.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol start=\"3\"><li><strong> Refund Exceptions<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:<\/p><ul><li>If the participant provides false or incomplete information during the registration process.<\/li><li>If the participant fails to comply with the program\u2019s regulations or the immigration laws of the destination country.<\/li><li>If the participant voluntarily withdraws from the program after it has commenced.<\/li><li>Non-refundable expenses, such as airfare, insurance, consular fees, among others.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol start=\"4\"><li><strong> Non-Refundable Administrative Expenses<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>Regardless of the cancellation timing, the following costs will be deducted:<\/p><ul><li>Registration fees and administrative costs.<\/li><li>Management expenses with sponsors and employers.<\/li><li>Consular or third-party service fees.<\/li><li>Expenses related to SEVIS, official translations, apostilles, notarizations, exchange rates, national and international transactions.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol start=\"5\"><li><strong> Procedure to Request a Refund<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>To request a refund, the participant must:<\/p><ol><li>Submit a written request by physical mail to the following correspondence address:<\/li><\/ol><p>PLIS SAS<\/p><p>AV 33 # 83 \u2013 40 Laureles, Medell\u00edn, Colombia<\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li>Send a written digital notification to the email address <a href=\"mailto:info@viajerosplis.com\">info@viajerosplis.com<\/a>.<\/li><li>Attach relevant documents, such as proof of payment and the reason for cancellation.<\/li><li>The agency will review the request within 30 calendar days and communicate the decision to the participant.<\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol start=\"6\"><li><strong> Refund Processing Times<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 60 calendar days after the request approval, using the original payment method or through bank transfer.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ol start=\"7\"><li><strong> Policy Modifications<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>PLIS SAS reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.
